Kerala PSC Deputy Collector Answer Key (Provisional)

Kerala PSC declared the provisional answer key od Deputy Collector examination held on 09.04.2011.

    I had submitted my complaints on certain answers in the key, to the PSC. Hope other rightful candidates also do the same, so that PSC will come up with a more correct Final key.

    I have also heard that the results will be published next week, though i'm not sure how they will do it prior to the final key.

    how did u submit the complaint?.
    Do we have to give explanation to each answers?...

    I dont think they will publish the result next week, bcoz they have given a maximum of 15 days to lodge complaints against the provisional answer key. After this, they will publish the final answer key, they OMR valuation..finally they would publish the result...i think so...

    Any comment on what could be the possible cut off for the preliminary exam? Will the cut off be as high as 95 plus???

    cutt off nearly 58-59
    there r above 3000people in this range and its an assumption of an expert that only 3000 will call for main.

    you might've scored 60. That's why u want the cutoff to be 58 or 59!!!!!!!!

    please avoide spreading rumours.
    if serious, and if hopeful of getting a mark above 60 or even 55, start preparation for the next level.

    everybody need calibre but Dycollector needs STRONG menal calibre,especially like land revenue commisionner.
    its hard to evaluate main exam papers its not like that of OMr evaluation,so may be around 3000,........
    even in upsc civilservice exam,there r about 400 to 700 seats are available for 2lakh student appearing in prelims and nearly 5000to 10000 get in to main.........lets assume from this!!!!!!!!. i think psc will do the same.dont u think so?

    Anyone who expect a score around 60 can be hopeful of getting through to the Mains. Publication of results will undoubtedly take some more time, in any case not before end of May/ So get along and prepare... you can start serious studies once the results are out!!

    i think clearing just the prelims will not
    prove your potential for this exam.only after the mains and intervie the psc will come to know aboput the right and they want more candidates for mains and also only 5 percentage of the candidates appeared for the prelims..nearly 1.5 lakhs.. i think atleast 10000 will be qualified for prelims

    the right thing is that the cut off marks will be at least 80 marks.the exam was easy , but with some confusing questions( max 4 ) . i know some students who have scored even 98 with present confirmed key . this may go down to 93 with final key. that guy has got a top rank in civil service also.

    many coaching insttns has not taken into account the category of serious bank exam candidates & csat candidates. Given, very few vacancies and the toll of these students, psc may call around 2k - 3k candidates/ cut off could well be 75 -80.

    however, if the aforesaid category is less. yes, majority of the "good" candidates fall in the 65-70 marks list, cut odd could be between 60-70.

    cut off less than 60 , chances are feeble.
    yet highly unpredicatable.
    it can be even less than that!

    Dear all,

    psc has started this job long before our parents were born . The prelim is just to remove the non serious candidates. The cut off will be taken inconsideration of whole demography in kerala . which logically be 50 + , dont worry on more candidates qualifying on prelims the syllabi is very specific viz a viz civil service .
    Your analyitical answers will be the main reason for your selection best of luck for all

    magic no: 1500 . yes there are little chances for the toll to go above 1500. even for exams lesser than this ( in grade ) and 20 times higher no: vacancies psc has selected ony 2000 for main exam . ( BDO ) and the cut off will be surely above 80

    Deputy Collector aspirants...

    cut off will be most likey 55-58....PSC wants to have 3000-5000 candidates to appear for main exam...deputy collector is not for selecting 90 out of 100 objective questions...he/she is for making decisions in real time..

    very doubtful for the above who scored 77,because if they are taking 1000 or 1500 numbers the most likely cut off is 80 marks as it is a common logic that there are more than 1000 people who has scored more than 80 marks as i know more than 15 people scored more than 80.but please dont loose your heart as there is a feeble chance

    This will increase confidence in candidates who scored less....but seems like not true...think about the time to complete the evaluation of 1000 candidates....hope for 3000-5000 :)

    secretarat assistnt prelims was held in 2007; mains in 2008, interview in 2009 and results in 2010!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    i dont understand why psc changed this patter for deputy collector. the whole process in 4-5 months!!!!!
